The cup is full

The cup is full

Lotfi Arbi Senoussi

Now, after seven years in power, six successive governments, and “warning after warning,” President Kais Saied has finally realized that “the cup is full” and that it is no longer possible to continue the war of national liberation except with those who truly believe in the people’s right to fully free themselves from the remnants of the hateful past, according to his own words.

THE VIRUS OF DICTATORSHIP

Kamel Jendoubi

Ancien ministre et militant des droits de l'homme

Since repression fell upon the democratic opposition, lawyers, journalists, trade unionists, and civil society organizations, calls for unity have multiplied.

Since 2023, these calls have taken various forms: platforms, pacts, coalitions, networks, and joint appeals. All shared the same objective: rebuilding a united front against authoritarian drift, reclaiming a collective voice, and resisting fear.

National Sovereignty Through a Nation’s Success

Kamel Akrout

Amiral retraité de la Marine Tunisienne

In the aftermath of these events, the idea of rebuilding from scratch emerged, led by women in the complete absence of government.

To the Pan-Arabist Current in General and the Echaab Movement in Particular: So That a Historic Current Is Not Branded With a Shameful Stigma

Mabrouk Korchid

Ancien ministre

Unfortunately, what Mr Mouldi Kessoumi said about the Pan-Arabist current in Tunisia, in relation to what occurred after 25 July 2021, contains a degree of truth, particularly regarding the official positions of the Echaab Movement, as the foremost representative of this current.

THE INEVITABLE QUESTION OF THE POST-KAÏS SAÏED ERA

THE INEVITABLE QUESTION OF THE POST-KAÏS SAÏED ERA

Kamel Jendoubi

Ancien ministre et militant des droits de l'homme

The uproar sparked by the Italian daily newspaper Il Foglio , which is close to Italian business circles and the transalpine right, has at least one merit: it has brought back to the centre of debate a question that the Tunisian political system has been striving to avoid for several years — namely, the question of the “post-Kaïs Saïed” era.
